- Abstract
The article focuses on several court decisions involving the U.S. Religious Land Use & Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000 (RLUIPA). In the United States v. City of Walnut case, the federal district court found that there is no ripeness re-quirement in RLUIPA. In the International Church of the Foresquare Gospel v. City of San Le-andro case, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the trial court dismissal of a RLUIPA action based on a city zoning designation for religious uses.
