- Title
WAYS OF BEING AND LOGICALITY.
- Authors
GRIFFITHS, OWEN; PASEAU, A. C.
- Abstract
The article discusses ontological pluralism and the idea that there are numerous ways of being, which is in contrast to the commonly accepted doctrine that existence is univocal. It mentions that quantificational pluralism asserts that quantificational expressions have multiple meanings due to the existence of multiple forms of existing. It highlights that the pluralist faces a dilemma regarding the logicality of their existential quantifiers, and whether they pass the invariance test or not.
