- Abstract
The present study has been carried out to assess the pollution load of the river during 2015 in different seasons. Various physico-chemicals parameters such as water temperature, total solids, total dissolved solids, turbidity, conductivity, pH, alkalinity DO, BOD, free CO2 and hardness were analyzed. Seasonal as well as site-wise variations of water quality index values are due to alterations in physico-chemical characteristics of river water. From the present observation, it can be concluded that the overall water quality of river Kali at the selected sites is poor. In the present study of commercially important fishes were recorded from the different sites.
