- Abstract
The article discusses the new clinical model which proposes that pursuit of higher education is a key component of successful substance use disorder treatment among young adults. It cites the opening of Life of Purpose Treatment (LOP), a new academically focused substance use disorder treatment center on the campus of Florida Atlantic University. It notes that in the two years LOP has been open, approximately 170 young people have matriculated through the program.
