The article analyzes the application of Title IX to the developments in Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) compensation in the U.S. Topics include the significance of Title IX in reducing gender inequities in the National Collegiate Athletic Association, an overview of NIL and donor-driven collectives, Title IX's application to collective NIL compensation, and solutions to correct the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights' lack of guidance with respect to Title IX and NIL compensation.
