- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examined cross-sectional and five-year longitudinal associations between the frequency of family meals and overweight status among adolescents. Based on the study, young adolescent females who do not eat meals with their families may be at risk for overweight. Results of the study revealed that eating family meals during high school may not protect adolescents against overweight.
