- Abstract
The article profiles the multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 (MEN2) autosomal dominant disease that is due to germline pathogenic variants rearranged during transfection (RET) proto oncogene, with 50% of cases being de novo. Topics covered include cancer risk, prevalence and clinical features by phenotype in the MEN2 disease, and its best management strategy of prevention. Also noted are the regular surveillance, and ongoing lifetime screening of patients beginning in infancy.
