- Abstract
The article discusses the implementation improvement of the cost-effective kangaroo mother care intervention for reducing mortality and morbidity in preterm infants in 2021. Topics covered include its skin-to-skin upright position infant care on a caregiver's chest, and practices of breastfeeding support and timely hospital discharge and follow-up. Also noted is the importance of a mother kangaroo care policy and its inclusion in a country's health system for it to be widely adopted.
