- Abstract
The article reports on the plan of three Russian companies to invest $2 billion into Zambia's mining sector. It states that RusInvest Group, ECN Group, and Aurora Capital want to concentrate on greenfield mining projects but they want to take not less than a 70% shareholding. These companies pans to set up mining development with a multimillion dollar smelter, power station, and railway line. However, lack of available concession in mining areas may hamper the Russian interest. Russian investors have committed to provide thorough corporate social responsibility (CSR).
