- Title
Exploration Deals and Results: Tunisia.
- Abstract
The article discusses the plan of Italy's energy group ENI to make major investments in Tunisia that includes the possibility of placing a $500m into a four-year project. It is suggested that talks between the major players from the two parties discussed the extension of the Transmed gas pipeline project that is expected to link Algeria and the City of Sicily thru Tunisia and the development of the two oil gas fields that are situated in the Gulf of Hammamet. ENI was founded on February 10, 1953 by the Italian government to promote and develop a national energy strategy based on the concentration of all the activities in the energy sector into one group.
