- Abstract
The article presents a study on the ecological causes and effects of major injuries in diamondback terrapins. The study primarily focuses on the factors that contribute to the injury of diamondback terrapins, considering the influence of anthropogenic activity and predation. Specifically, it assesses the patterns of limb loss and major shell injuries in a population of terrapins. Details reveal on the potential impact of watercraft activity on the temporal rise on the rate of shell injuries. In addition, the contribution of aquatic encounters on the possible limb loss of terrapins are determined.
