- Abstract
The article discusses the role of the B-cell Integration Cluster (BIC) transcript and miRNA-155 gene expression in patient with atopic eczema. A large-scale study conducted by the authors has revealed that BIC expression was induced by the application of Mallasezia sympodialis to non-lesional skin of patients with eczema. Another study by the authors confirmed the role of cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4) in regulating CD4+ T cells, which in turn activated miR-155 overexpression.
