- Authors
KRAJENBRINK, MARIEKE
- Abstract
An essay is presented on the genre of crime novels in Austria and on various issues of identities associated with the two novels, "Such nach" by Doron Rabinovici and "Der See" by Gerhard Roth. The author explores the genre which indicated a rhetoric of national dissent. The images and identities of Austria depicted in its post-war literature are discussed. It also examines the works of a group of Austrian writers, called the Grazer Gruppe, during the 1960's through 1970's.
