- Abstract
The article presents a study which assesses the species and generic relationship of Horizorhinus with the family Muscicapidae. It also classifies the generic status of Horizorhinus. For phylogenic analysis, the researches relied their assessment on the mitochondrial ND2 gene. They found the placement of Horizorhinus within babblers, and as part of the genus Sylvia abyssinica. The authors suggest, based on their molecular finding that Horizorhinus be subsumed into genus Sylvia, and Dohrn's Thrush-babbler now be recognized as Sylvia dohrni.
