- Abstract
Experimental area was carried out at Experimental Farm of the Plant Protection Research Institute, Qaha, Qalubiya governorate under open field conditions during nile seasons 2015 and 2016, respectively. The present study was carried out to Survey and population fluctuations of pests infesting cucumber fields at Qalubiya Governorate. The results showed that the survey of insect and mite pests recorded on cucumber plant (Cucumis sativus L.) revealed to seven orders about sixteen insect pest species, belonging to thirteen insect families and two mite species pest belonging to Tetrachychidae and Tydadiae. The associated natural enemies, revealed that two species belonging to two families of two orders during two successive seasons 2015 and 2016. The data indicated in population fluctuations of whitefly, Bemisia tabaci on hybrid hayel plants during the second season was higher than that was recorded during the first season In the first season the population density of B. tabaci recorded three peaks, Subsequently in the second season record one highly peak for nymphs and spider mite, Tetranychus urticae movable stage nearly equal in two seasons 2015 and 2016. In the first season recorded four peaks and in the second season record two peaks.
