- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a study on the effects of various dietary protein levels on growth, body composition and quality of eggs in broodstock female bagrid catfish. Major hindrance to further increment the production of this species is the problem in low egg hatchability and larval survival rate. Results indicate that higher growth rates, body composition and quality eggs are acquired with 35 percent and 40 percent dietary protein levels. Moreover, the 30 percent diet group exhibited the lowest relative fecundity.
