The article discusses the national consciousness of Palestinian Arabs who have been residing in Israel since the country's Declaration of Independence in 1948. Topics reviewed include Israeli-based Palestinian people's civil rights, psychology, and the country's policy towards them. The author provides special attention to the book "Let it be morning" by Palestinian author Sayed Kashua, which focuses on the case of Israel-living Arabs' national identity.
