- Abstract
The article outlines key principles of academic freedom most applicable in the field of academic publishing. These include the need for scholars to have the freedom to communicate ideas or facts without suppression or censorship, the right of scholars to study and conduct research on topics they choose and express opinions they find consistent with their findings and the right of scholars to challenge another's views without penalizing individuals with discrepant views.
