- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates evidence of dissemination and transfer of Bartonella DNA in necropsy room on processing formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues. Pathologists rely on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification on bacterial DNA detection in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues. There were five microtomes evaluated in the necropsy room. It concludes that PCR is useful in DNA detection from Bartonella and other agents of infections in blood and tissues.
