- Abstract
Entrepreneurs "are made". Under this paradigm, the role of entrepreneurial education is of vital importance. characteristics of entrepreneurial behaviour amongst students are, in the context of the educational system, determinants of the results of entrepreneurship education. To determine whether it is true or not is the aim of this research. To that end, it was studied the student population -- just including students of Senior year: 362 -- of Higher institute of commerce (technical and commercial high school), and Marta Donoso Espejo, (Scientific-Humanist high school). For this purpose, it was applied a probability sampling. It was confirmed that Technical and Commercial high school students have greater characteristics of entrepreneurial behaviour than Scientific-Humanist high school ones. at the same time, it can be observed that the entire student population shows a marked tendency towards three characteristics of entrepreneurial behaviour: setting goals, persistence and self-confidence. It was also observed that the less important characteristics are: persuasion and social support network, looking for opportunities, taking calculated risks.
