- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 69-year-old man initially diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) but later developing mast cell leukaemia (MCL) after acquiring a KIT mutation. It reports on the progression of the disease from MDS to MCL. It mentions the identification of mast cell infiltration and mutations through molecular testing, and it highlights the challenges in treating aggressive forms of systemic mastocytosis (SM) like MCL.
