- Abstract
In our clinical practice we often face the problem of bone transplants. Transplantation of a bone represents a group of procedures which have a goal to surgically transfer the bone tissue at the place where it is lacking. The problem to replace the bone defect is always present in surgical practice. Large amount of orthopedic reconstructive procedures increased demands on bone transplants. Lack of autologous bone transplant to replace the bone defect is a problem -- complication for a surgeon. For the larger bone defects the choice is bone bank. Bone bank is a system of supply, storage and bone distribution, for the needs of reconstructive procedures within surgery of the bones and joints. The goal of this paper is to present the introduction of the conservative autologus graft in the routine clinical surgeries and by that to optimally solve the larger bone defects caused by pathological or trauma effect. The femur head and other bones are ideal to be placed into the bank which can be situated within the Clinic. There is sufficient bone tissue, it requires little space and can be used in different clinical conditions.
