- Abstract
The article discusses the potential use of Instant Runoff Voting (IRV) in corporate elections in the U.S. as of 2015, and it mentions the theory of shareholder primacy, as well as majority voting laws and corporate governance in America. A corporate shareholder empowerment movement is addressed, along with financial burdens and the history of IRV in political elections. Shareholder proxy access and short-slate elections are examined, as well as the costs associated with corporate elections.
