- Abstract
The article discusses the issues on privacy rights and data stewardship under the Northeast Multispecies Fisheries Management Plan Amendment 23's proposed electronic monitoring (EM). EM is being considered by the New England Fisheries Management Council (NEFMC) to monitor cod fishing activities and successfully rebuild cod stocks, particularly in the Gulf of Maine. Also cited is the Northeast Fisheries Observer Program (NEFOP).
