The article discusses the legal efforts to combat non-consensual pornography (revenge porn) in America, and it mentions the U.S. Communications Decency Act, the legal rights of website owners and operators, and the nation's Computer Fraud and Abuse Act which criminalizes computer hacking and identity theft. According to the article, American states such as New Jersey and California have passed revenge porn statutes. Remedies and the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment are examined.
