The article focuses on the memoir "The Log of the Snark" by Charmian London and the suite of nude photographs in her scholarship and attempt to explore Polynesian sexuality by using the camera in a different way. It mentions expression of unconventional female sexuality and private records produced by individuals with strong public identities. It also mentions nude photographs as being part of the photographic output of the Snark voyage and ways for Indigenous women.
