- Abstract
The article discusses a 2021 report on the infection of strawberry plants in Quebec by a new subgroup of Candidatus Phytoplasma asteris (16Srl) linked to strawberry green petal disease (SbGP). It states that infected plants had the symptoms of reddened leaves and sepals, flower greening and phyllody linked to strawberry green petal disease phytoplasma. Also noted is the first occurrence of a new 16Srl subgroup linked to SbGP in Quebec in the report.
