- Title
Cannabis Captiva: Freeing the World from Marijuana Prohibition.
- Authors
Duke, Stephen B.
- Abstract
The article discusses the different aspects of the regulation and prohibition of cannabis sativa. It states that the campaign against an array of substances or the prohibitionist movement was brought about by the alliance between religionists, politicians and social reformers in the 20th century, and explores the factors contributing to the failure of the prohibition of marijuana worldwide including its ease of cultivation. It also explores the efforts of several governments to get rid of marijuana prohibition and to eliminate sanctions against those who distribute the drug.
