Forget Hamlet.
- Authors
FRECCERO, CARLA
- Abstract
The article focuses on Lee Edelman's view of the queer theme in "Hamlet," by William Shakespeare. The author says Edelman was able to make a persuasive case for linking the prototype of the modern subject as Child to the role played by Hamlet. He adds that the obscene enjoyment of the law is another lesson that was focused on by Edelman, which was seen in the way Hamlet took out his firearm of moral righteousness to reprimand certain people.
