- Title
Derivation of Sin(A+B) and Cos(A+B).
- Authors
Serkey, Robert
- Abstract
The article discusses the derivation of sines and cosines using the (A + B) equation. The derivation of sines applies the corresponding area equation for a triangle while the cosine derivation uses the Law of Cosines, which are both discussed in trigonometry classes. The Law of Cosines is based from the Pythagorean Theorem, where the square of the hypotenuse of the right triangle must be equivalent to the sum of the squares of 2 legs, which are sides that meet at a right angle.
