- Abstract
This article reviews the structure and operations of the Wake Forest University Office of Personal and Career Development (OPCD) and the college-to-career ecosystem at the university. It focuses on the unique elements of the OPCD including credit-bearing career development classes, robust partnerships across the university, support from senior administrators, and the innovative use of technology. The paper also touches briefly on the benefits of this structure, the challenges associated with implementing and leading the OPCD, and identifies a vision for the future that emphasizes empowering all students with the tools, information, and resources needed to flourish in work and life.
