- Title
Bradfordizing als Re-Ranking-Ansatz in Literaturinformationssystemen.
- Authors
Mayr, Philipp
- Abstract
This article presents a way to re-organize search systems in order to make scientific document retrieval better. This type of ranking is called Bradfordizing, works with the Bradford Law of Scattering (BLS), and it divides literature into different zones according to the density of literature in each zone. According to the author this is done because some research has suggested the information in the more dense documents, or core documents, is often more relevant than that in other zones.
