- Abstract
The article reports on the success of the journal "Philosophy & Public Affairs" which was introduced by Princeton University Press in 1971 under the founding editorship of Marshall Cohen. It notes the journal's accomplishment during the VietNam era and the civil rights struggles in the U.S. It states that the acquisition of the journal by Blackwell Publishing Ltd. in 2004 increased its global reach to over 3,000 libraries. It acknowledges the publication of editor Charles R. Beitz's book "The Idea of Human Rights" and the appointment of Alan Patten, professor of politics at the Princeton University, as the journal's new editor.
