In their Research Article (e202305088), Zhi-Xiang Wang, Xiang-Yu Chen and co-workers show that the combination of carborane phosphonium salts and KOAc forms a photoactive charge transfer complex for the generation of carbon-centered carboranyl radicals, allowing access to various carborane-oxindole pharmaceuticals.
