- Abstract
Low-carbon martensitic steels are studied after heat cycling in a mode of “950 °C (10 min), water cooling ⇄ 850°C (10 min), water cooling” by metallographic and electron diffraction analyses. The mean size of austenite grains and of packets and laths of martensite are determined. Phase transformations due to continuous heating and cooling are studied by the method of differential scanning calorimetry.
