- Abstract
This article discusses the cytotoxic constituents found in the fruits of Garcinia schomburgkiana, a tree commonly known as Ma-dan in Thai. The study isolated fourteen compounds from the fruits, including volkensiflavone, morelloflavone, and oblongifolin C, which have potential cytotoxic properties against various cancer cell lines. The article provides chemical data for several compounds, including their molecular formulas, NMR spectra, and mass spectrometry data. The research was supported by Thammasat University Research Unit in Natural Products Chemistry and Bioactivities and Thailand Science Research and Innovation Fundamental Fund.
