The article presents information about various nocturnal strepsirrhine primates of Africa and Asia. Traditionally, the lorisoid primates have been classified into two categories namely the slow-moving, quadrupedal lorises, and the active leaping and hopping galagos. Red slender loris of southwestern Sri Lanka is one of the examples among their living forms.
