- Abstract
During the continuous multi-layer paving and rolling of core wall asphalt concrete in a high-temperature environment, the base layer of asphalt concrete cools down slowly, which seriously affects the continuity of construction. In order to demonstrate the feasibility of continuous multi-layer rolling construction of core walls, combined with the construction site rolling tests of asphalt concrete core wall of Qiaolabula Reservoir, the compactness and lateral expansion deformation law of core wall after continuous paving and rolling were studied. The results show that the porosity of continuous rolling asphalt concrete can be controlled within 3% when the temperature of base asphalt concrete is reduced to 100 ℃. The continuous paving and rolling of the core wall exhibits a certain amount of lateral expansion deformation, and the higher the temperature of the base asphalt concrete, the more obvious the secondary lateral expansion caused by the recompression of base asphalt concrete is when the upper layer is rolled. When the temperature of base asphalt concrete is controlled below 100 ℃, the lateral expansion rate of continuous three-layer paving and rolling does not increase significantly.
