- Abstract
A fibre bundle has been developed for coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) microendoscopy. The polarisation scheme was employed to suppress the four-wave mixing (FWM) effect in the fibre. High collection efficiency of epi-CARS signals and isolation of excitation lasers are achieved. Epi-CARS and epi-FWM images were compared in different polarisation schemes. The use of a broadband dual wavelength waveplate offers spectroscopic imaging capability to the system, which was shown by using ex vivo imaging mouse tissues.
