- Abstract
The article reveals the winners of the Walker Prize, which was instituted in 1997 by the Human Resource Planning Society to honor the work of its founder James W. Walker. The prize was created to recognize vision, quality, and innovation in the field, and is awarded annually to authors published in "Human Resource Planning" for articles or commentary that best advances thinking or practices in human resources. The 2006 Walker Prize was given to Thomas Sy and Laura Sue D'Annunzio for their paper "Challenges and Strategies of Matrix Organizations: Top-Level and Mid-Level Managers' Perspectives."
