- Authors
BAKER, D. P.
- Abstract
A critique is presented of the short story "The Nun's Priest's Tale" by Geoffrey Chaucer, focusing on the story's depiction of Chaucer's philosophies regarding predestination versus contingency. The identity of a man referenced in the story's benediction, glosses to the story, and a reference to wheat-sifting are discussed, as well as Archbishop Thomas Bradwardine's philosophy of determinism.
