- Title
Strays without microchips might be lost family pets.
- Authors
Khan, Sophia
- Abstract
The article discusses the introduction of compulsory microchipping for dogs with owners facing a fine if they do not comply. It notes however that the number of strays and dogs without microchips handed to Blue Cross shows that there is still a long way to until the goal of having all dogs in England, Scotland and Wales being microchipped is reached. It notes that the rise in pets being stolen may help convince owners to get their pets microchipped.
