- Abstract
The article discusses the role, utility and accuracy of sentinel lymph node (SLN) and axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) an evaluation for cancer cells. According to the American Society of Clinical Oncology recognize SLN biopsy as an appropriate alternative to ALND for patients with early-stage breast cancer. SLN examines the clinical significance of micrometastases in sentinel nodes of breast cancer patients, while ALND will remove the lymph nodes under the arm.
