- Title
Scientists Are Searching the Seas for Cancer Drugs.
- Authors
O'Hanlon, Leslie Harris
- Abstract
The article reports on the search for cancer drugs in the oceans by the scientists. Ocean organisms, such as sea squirts and sponges, create chemicals that may fight against cancer cells. Many drugs from the ocean are in the stage of clinical trials. Most of the search for drugs in the ocean have concentrated on shallow waters. Despite the many discoveries of potential drugs from the sea, problems still remain in the search for new drugs.
