- Authors
Christenson, Peter G.; DeBenedittis, Peter
- Abstract
The article presents a study on the use of radio by children over the span of the grade-school years. It mentions that increased hours to listen over the grade-school years match to increased preferences for pop music to the point in which the preferences of children are definitely the Top 40 radio hits. It states that radio's musical content is one reason that the use of television by children might not be a very good model to understand their use of radio, where television mainly offers dramatic narrative.
