This article discusses the role of the Second Vatican Council of the 1960s in the establishment of the primacy of God in Catholic liturgy. The author comments on the importance of liturgy in the religious life of Catholics and describes the reforms made to Catholic ministry at the council, under the direction of Pope Paul VI.
