Reports that because name calling and ridicule begin primarily at the elementary school, it is vital to introduce a school curriculum that focuses in a positive way upon issues of sexuality, sexism and sexual identity even at the elementary level. Role of schools as a breeding ground for homophobic sentiments; Reason for the high drop-out rates of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersexed (LGBTI) teens; Introduction of LGBTI issues in the same manner as multi-cultural issues; Resources available and being used in schools to combat homophobic tendencies; Questions raised about normal sexual and gender constructions;
