- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 19-year-old man referred a haemostasis laboratory with severe bleeding phenotype. The patient has a history of prolonged umbilical cord haemorrhage and has suffered a subdural haematoma, recurrent subcutaneous bleeding, intramuscular haematomas and haemarthroses. Assessments revealed the use of first recombinant factor XIII in a major bleeding episode with congenital factor XIII deficiency.
