- Abstract
This article discusses a case of type 2 autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) diagnosed using endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle biopsy. The patient, a 40-year-old woman, presented with upper abdominal and back pain. Laboratory tests and imaging revealed a mass in the pancreatic tail. The diagnosis of type 2 AIP was confirmed through histopathology, and the patient was treated with prednisolone. The article also highlights the importance of collaboration between clinicians and pathologists in diagnosing pancreatic diseases using endoscopic ultrasound-guided biopsy.
