- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a study which examined the population trends of seabirds breeding in Eastern Cape, South Africa. Seabird species that are being bred in the Eastern Cape include the African Penguin, Cape Gannet, Cape Cormorant, white-breasted Cormorant, Kelp Gull, Roseate Tern and Swift Tern. Breeding only in Namibia and South Africa, African Penguins and Cape Gannets mainly feed on Sardine and Anchovy Engraulis encrasicolus.
